A/P Specialist

We are looking for a Full-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting Department in Quincy, MA.

Hybrid work schedule: 2-3 days in the office required

To successfully fulfill your role as an Accounts Payable Specialist, you should expect to perform the following duties:

• Review data entry of all invoices for your assigned properties
• Bring potentially miscoded GL expenses to the attention of the Portfolio Manager or Accountant
• Work with Property Managers and other HMR staff to process check requests
• Manage vendor database, insurance, W9, and new vendor information
• Ensure responses to inquiries are timely
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
• Audit payable expenditures for reasonableness                                                                
• Review AP Reports for accuracy and completeness

Accounts Payable Specialist Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to prioritize and follow direction
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong written, verbal, and innovative problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through

Accounts Payable Specialist Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in Full Cycle Accounts Payable
