KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cash Management, Banking and Treasury Workstation: 
  • Prepare daily cash reports to ensure sufficient liquidity for business unit disbursements and financial obligations. Provide funding recommendations to cover cash deficits.
  • Develop into a subject matter expert on the new Treasury Workstation (Reval), to help manage data entry and reporting, ensuring data integrity, handling service requests, and running daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Monitor and update daily and monthly FX rates in ERP systems.
  • Handle various banking transactions, including wires, tax payments, FX trades, inter-company, and borrowing/repayment notices.
  • Manage user requests in banking portals.
  • Prepare and post treasury journal entries and collaborate with Corporate Finance to resolve GL discrepancies and queries.
  • Maintain and update database of authorized signers for Samuel entities.
  • Review monthly bank fees in the Treasury Management System and investigate significant variances.
  • Oversee the Purchasing-Card (P-Card) Program by adding/removing users, monitoring category spend, reviewing quarterly activity, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
• FX and Commodity Hedging:
  • Prepare business unit specific and corporate FX hedge reports and provide hedge recommendations.
  • Prepare the monthly FX charge-out report for hedged purchase agreements. 
• Insurance:
  • Responsible for the monthly claims reports.
  • Responsible to assist with any insurance request such as Certificates of Insurance, claims handling, etc.
  • Responsible to maintain an up-to-date policy listing and schematics of Samuel’s insurance program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Relevant under-grad degree, CPA is considered an asset.
• 2-3 years of work experience in Corporate Finance/ Treasury.
• Proficient in excel and modeling skills, and all MS office applications (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Requires strong collaborative and problem-solving skills to build cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Corporate personal skills – analytical, thorough (attention to detail), strong written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable in a high impact high visibility role
• Can work independently in a multi-tasking environment to meet multiple deadlines and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
