The Solution Architecture function is responsible for developing IT solutions in support of business capabilities across the Evernorth Health Services IT Corporate Systems landscape. This Architecture Senior Advisor position is in the Evernorth Health Services IT Corporate Systems area.
As an Architecture Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for developing IT solutions within the Pricing and Underwriting team for Health Services – PBM. The initial focus of this role will be within our P&UW Next Gen Engine (NGE) team, focusing on improving our current forecasting system, and defining the future solution that will overcome the limitations of the existing system. You will spend the next year understanding the needs of the pharmacy products underwriting business and increasing the performance of the application running on Hadoop today. This includes understanding the workflow starting with Teradata source databases, the current ETL jobs that load data into Hadoop and the multiple workflow steps needed to leverage the various models created by the business. Ultimately, you will collaborate with the IT development team and the business to derive the future vision of the system and define the architecture that will accomplish this goal – looking towards the latest big data warehouses, modeling tools and cloud infrastructures.
In this Architecture Senior Advisor role, you will provide architecture direction to projects by providing direction, guidance and definition of solutions that are in alignment with enterprise architecture standards, principles, and strategic direction. Solution Architects work closely with cross-functional business teams in a consultative manner to drive new business and/or meet compliance requirements and work in close collaboration with multiple IT delivery team teams in a matrix environment to influence enhancements, design, and mutual understanding of business needs.
