Service Oklahoma – Attorney
Position Summary
The Service Oklahoma division of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services is hiring for an Attorney to join its team that is redefining the way Oklahomans access and engage with government services. The position will be responsible for performing professional legal representation and work primarily in the area of implied consent and litigation. Professional legal research and representation may also be required in other areas. Applicants must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Position Responsibilities
Composes and prepares various legal documents and pleadings,
Assembles legal materials, agency data, documents, and pleadings for court cases,
Ensures that deadlines are met for filing various court actions,
Participates in all aspects of litigation,
Provides management with advice and work products exhibiting knowledge, insight, and understanding of relevant law and facts,
Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience
Requirements include:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school,
Licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma,
At least one (1) year of experience as an attorney.
Valued Skills and Experience
Analytics and critical thinking,
Legal research and writing skills
Performing independent research, analysis, and application of legal principles, facts, and precedents
Presenting statements of fact, law, and argument clearly and logically in both written and oral form
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. This position requires travel. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to perform all job-related travel. Possession and maintenance of a valid Oklahoma Driver License is also required.
Schedule
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.
