Job Description
Business Manager
The mission of the Health Care Workforce Training Commission is to increase access to health care workers in the rural and underserved areas of Oklahoma. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for submitting accounts payable and accounts receivable to OMES ABS for processing, analyzing and reporting financial information and applying accepted accounting principles.
Basic Purpose:
This position will perform tasks involving the maintenance of financial information, reviewing and processing invoices for payment, review of the monthly clearing report, receiving and properly logging and processing sponsor funds and repayment funds, working directly with OMES Agency Business Services to process invoices and create requisitions/PO’s and maintaining proper financial records for all programs. Working with Treasury for receipt of EFT payments to the agency.
Typical Functions:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management, public administration, or a closely related degree is required with a minimum of two years of accounts payable experience or a minimum of two years of experience in purchasing and acquisition preferably within a government entity or an equivalent combination of experience and education or a master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management public administration or closely related degree with a minimum of one year experience in accounts payable or a minimum of one year experience in purchasing and acquisition preferably within a government entity. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in PeopleSoft, WORKS (Bank of America’s P-Card system), IT procurement, and/or travel claim experience.
