Compiles and maintains daily all inspection records of Non-destructive Testing process including visual inspection
Prepares mill test reports (MTR’s) that accompany the product upon shipment to customer.
Managing the inspection records according to API 5CT and API 5L requirements
Organize, control, prepare and issue NDT training documents according to ASNT TC 1A, API 5CT and API 5L requirements.
Execute special NDT projects assigned, including but not limited to NDT hands on training, defect sample characterization, developing SOP’s and WI’s to enhance the quality of the inspection.
Support the inspection process to make sure that all inspection records are compliance, organized and auditable to ensure customer requirements are met.
Ensures the confidentiality and security of files and filing systems
Act as a liaison with other departments including Safety, Operations and Shipping.
Create Quality dashboards using digital tools to support and maintaining the key KPIs of the Inspection line, Quality flash, support the review of TQMs (Total Quality Management KPIs)
Involved with maintaining operating procedures (SOP’s) and act as an internal auditor with regards to the Management system
Able to maintain and organize department schedule, safety, training and quality documents.
Assist departments with quality incident investigations (CAPA’s), customer claims, risk assessments and problem solving, as needed
Provide technical support in management of quality related topics including cost of non-quality, quality visits, and process non-conformances
Handles confidential and non-routine information
Works independently and within a team on special non-reoccurring and ongoing special projects
Utilize the inventory management system to order necessary consumables
Create daily production reports and deliver to teams
Execute all functions in SAP including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods received, invoicing, payments, etc.…
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office to assist in organizing files and ability to learn other software programs (Pipe EFD, PSI, SAP, Power BI, Smartsheet and PowerApps, etc.)
Good working knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental requirements and systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capable of working independently in a self-directed environment as well as group settings
Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Complete job duties and assignments correctly and on time
Able to work flexible schedule
Must be willing to assist in all areas as necessary
Comfortable working in a Mill environment
Preferred: NDT Training skills in: Ultrasound Testing (UT) or Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI) or Eddy Current (EC) or Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI).
Preferred: minimum of 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment along with demonstrated skills and knowledge in a Quality assurance/control department
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Business school, associate degree or equivalent
