Essential Duties
Provide plant support and training for operators of machine tools and maintenance personnel of procedures for maintenance of machine tools.
Introduce and evaluate new machine tool technology.
Coordinate projects with plant personnel, outside suppliers, Facilities Engineering to assure execution in accordance with schedules and budgets.
Coordinate and schedule the maintenance of equipment and facilities to contribute to increased production efficiencies.
Conduct studies to improve the efficiency in buildings, equipment, processes and methods.
Investigate and recommend new processes, methods, equipment, and facilities to improve manufacturing operations and minimize costs.
Recommend improvements for equipment reliability.
Lead plant personnel & contractors in troubleshooting machine tool issues and determine solutions to address.
Job Knowledge/Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of machining principles and tooling, knowledge of maintenance, repair, and re-build of machine tools with supervisory experience desirable.
Basic technical or specialized skills utilized in involved practices/procedures and/or scientific theory and principles.
Strong communication skills; verbal & written; MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
Ability to travel >20%
