NVE is looking for a Facilities Project Manager (PM) with the experience of managing a large maintenance contract focused on running efficient cooling and heating systems, with an emphasis on energy management driving an impact to environmentally friendly operations. The PM shall have at least ten (10) years of experience in the facility operation and maintenance (O&M) with emphasis on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The ideal candidate should have experience overseeing contracts with over 25 buildings and $5 million/year. The Project Manager will work directly for NVE’s Vice President of Facilities Services. The PM maintains control of all business decisions, profit and loss (P&L), and overall site safety and quality.
The Project Manager will be reporting part time on-site, or be on-site when the Site Manager is not available. The successful candidate will work daily with the Site Manager for schedule and work coordination, client communications, and overall or day-to-day site management.
The Project Manager must be knowledgeable and skilled in HVAC installs, services and repairs, as well as environmental-control systems in office buildings and other commercial establishments. The Project Manager needs to under such technical elements as Energy Recovery Systems, cooling towers, equipment inspection, furnace maintenance, electric hot water heaters, package unit computer rooms, air compressors, air dryers, air handling units (AHUs), backflow preventers, boilers (steam, gas and oil), chillers, circulating pumps, condenser units, evaporator units, exhaust fans, expansion tanks, heat exchangers, humidifiers, unit heaters, filters, coils, water testing and treatment, boiler inspection, and direct digital control (DDC).
