The Site Lab Manager ensures compliance of processes and ingredients to Mars and Regulatory standards. As part of the QFS Team, The Site Lab Manager leads a team of Raw Material (RM) Receivers and ensures adherence to processes and procedures through training & development and periodic evaluation of people, processes and test equipment.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, biology or related technical field; an advanced degree is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food processing industry with working knowledge of Food Safety Management programs and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team and accomplishing goals through others
• Good communication skills to liaise within site, with Regional support teams and stakeholders and with 3rd party suppliers and labs.
• Great managerial skills

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Lead/Manage Raw Material Receiving Team to provide approved ingredients for factory team in a timely manner.
• Lead, coach, develop team members through development plans and periodic reviews and feedbacks (8 direct reports)
• Work closely with Factory Flow and Operations Teams, and Regional Commercial Team (SQAs and buyers) to provide approved raw materials for factory consumption.
• Maintain processes and procedures to ensure compliance to standards.
