Instructs golfers of all ages in basic golf skills in a group environment. Responsible for private individual lessons when necessary. Responsible for supervision of structured class activities and care of instructional equipment.
Required Qualifications
Extensive knowledge in fundamentals of the golf swing, the game of golf, the USGA Rules of Golf, and etiquette.
If hired, candidate is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no later than their start date or have a City of Ann Arbor approved medical / religious exemption.
Must obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment. The City offers CPR/AED and First Aid classes, which are free to Parks employees. Please note, your certification must be from an organization that has been approved by the Bureau of Community and Health Systems, Child Care Licensing Division. Please see following link for list of approved organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
At least two years teaching experience and some PGA or LPGA apprenticeship participation.
Physical Requirements
May exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
