POSITION SUMMARY: This position is under the direct supervision of the Grounds supervisor and Manager and is responsible for the upkeep and appearance of assigned outdoor areas around the campus. Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
Lawn maintenance to include: sodding, watering, mowing, and weeding.
Maintain flowerbeds, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping.
Maintain athletic fields to include turf aeration and drainage.
Maintain seasonal needs of parking lots and walkways.
Generates service request for any maintenance service/repairs needed.
Responsible for securing work areas upon job completion.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
EQUIPMENT/ COMPUTER SKILLS: This role routinely uses hand and power tools for job completion. Heavy machinery may also be required for job completion.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 to 2 years of relevant experience
Previous grounds keeping experience desired but not required.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION: None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position is physically taxing and requires work in extreme climates. Position requires frequent bending, stooping, walking and climbing. Ability to frequently lift 40-50lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This job operates outside in extreme climates (heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow). Loud noises are common due to heavy machinery.
