JOB BRIEF
The United States Institute of Peace (USIP) is looking for an HR Assistant to join the Office of Human Resources. In this position, you will help organize, coordinate, and carry out all human resource department projects and processes for the organization. You will work directly with and assist the human resources department in fulfilling a variety of necessary HR tasks. This includes all hiring, onboarding and off-boarding, training, and company education procedures for new or existing employees. You will assist in tracking and maintaining employee data (contact information, earning rates, absences, promotions, etc.) by paper and HRIS (Human Resource Information System) software. The HR Assistance will also help maintain positive employee relations and work to ensure worker satisfaction through education on HR policies and by fostering a positive work environment. USIP is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and, most importantly, personable and approachable professional to fill this critical role.
TARGET SALARY RANGE
Grade 7 – $53,000 – $54,0000
The Institute uses the General Schedule salary tables for administering compensation. Offers are determined based upon candidate qualifications, related experience, internal equity, and the amount budgeted for the position.
