Injection Mold Maker Apprentice

OTTO’s opportunity:

Our Injection Mold Maker Apprentice will learn aspects of mold making. This includes, but not limited to, mold design, mold fabrication techniques, set-up & tear down, troubleshooting, maintenance and basic machine set-up. Employee will also learn the injection molding process.

Specifically, the Injection Mold Maker Apprentice will:

Learn basic Injection Molding.
Perform Mold changeovers.
Perform Mold & Machine maintenance.
Component measurements.
Mold construction.
Assembly & disassembly of molds.
Bead Blasting & Surface grinding
Perform basic use of EDM machine.
Perform basic Milling & Surface grinding.
Perform other duties as assigned or given.
Diagnose component / mold problems.
What you’ll need to bring to the table:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1-year experience with Machining, or Injection Molding.
Good communication skills.
Blueprint reading skills
Moderate computer skills.
Knowledge of basic measuring tools.
Basic machining skills.
CNC or CAD experience is a plus.
Reliable attendance.
Available for nonstandard or extended work schedules.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must have good mechanical aptitude.
