Seaspan Seeking Intern, Supply Chain for immediate hire. Accepting applications from all groups. Through the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS), the Government of Canada has embarked on one of the largest procurement projects since the Second World War. The NSS is a nation-building effort to create a sustainable Canadian shipbuilding industry, secure long-term job opportunities and build the next generation of ships for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. Through its NSS-related work, Seaspan Shipyards is owning the redevelopment of our domestic shipbuilding industry on the West Coast and delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada, by Canadians.
The Intern, Supply Chain – New Construction is responsible for supporting Supply Chain Controls for new vessels constructed by Seaspan Shipyards under the Federal Fleet Renewal (FFR) Program. In supporting Supply Chain Controls, they will monitor and improve operational performance, track expenditure and budgets, help develop reports and support initiatives. This position will work very closely with members of Supply Chain Controls, Procurement, and Subcontracts in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 2 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.

Seaspan’s Internships are 4 months in duration. We require a full-time commitment Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $26.00/hour.
