Lead Software Engineer – Evernorth Health Services – Remote

Seeking a Senior level software engineer to join the Digital Web Engineering team to support & enhance Accredo Platform. This team’s focus is delivering high-quality web applications adhering to enterprise development best practices. Craftsmanship, pride in ownership and passion for excellence are core expectations.

Technologies include: ReactJS, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java, Spring Boot, Restful APIs, ORM, SQL/No-SQL Databases

Process/Practices: Test Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), JIRA, Confluence, PCF, AWS, Jenkins, and XL Release.

Full stack Java developer who has experience developing client facing web applications using the technologies listed above. This role requires someone who has expert knowledge on creating RESTful services using Java, Spring boot as well as frontend technologies like React JS, JavaScript, CSS and HTML. They are expected to work closely with developers, technical project managers, principle engineers and business stakeholders to ensure that application solutions meet business/customer requirements.

• The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and collaborative full stack developer with experience in developing RESTful APIs (Java, Spring Boot) and JavaScript E2015+(React)
• Other technologies used include AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Open Shift, Jenkins.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral are also essential as this position will interface with remote scrum teams, business owners, enterprise architects, security, infrastructure, and end users via email, phone, IM, desktop sharing, and wiki
• Proactively conduct root-cause analyses and identify and implement enhancement opportunities for our analytic platforms and their included applications
• May serve as team lead and have duties instructing, directing and checking the work of others.
• Flexibility to work remotely anywhere within the US; however, expected work hours will be 9-5 Eastern Time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline and 7+ years of professional software engineering experience or the equivalence of education and experience
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong background in object-oriented software development knowledge of modern, cloud-hosted, single page applications
• Good Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Solid individual performance, but may spend considerable portion of their time providing direction for others, share knowledge, coaches and mentors
