Position Summary
Collaborates with the senior knowledge architects to define and drive a knowledge & learning management strategy, goals, objectives, and initiatives across the enterprise.
Collaborates across teams and divisions to identify, prioritize, and develop knowledge & learning assets that focus on minimized risk, corporate compliance, increased efficiency, maximized productivity, improved decision making, and are in alignment with enterprise strategies.
Researches and writes highly diverse and complex content translating it into clear, concise, and comprehensive knowledge for the targeted audience.
Leads and mentors less experienced knowledge architects and specialists.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzes new knowledge asset requests, elicits requirements, researches the subject matter, performs audience analysis, writes content according to the standards, provides direction for proper publishing format and location, and publishes knowledge assets.
Manages multiple complex knowledge asset projects simultaneously. Projects can be independent of a projector part of a larger project.
Develops knowledge asset project plans with work estimates, when appropriate, and manages to the plan and estimate.
Leads the learning content management effort, provides technical guidance, adheres to learning content management standards and practices, maintains updates to learning content.
Performs quality testing on systems when developing knowledge assets and reports defects and errors.
Provides editing counsel to less experienced team members to improve accuracy, consistency, conciseness, and readability.
Researches, analyzes, identifies, and recommends tools, techniques, methodologies, processes, and metrics for knowledge management and technical writing.
Collaborates with the senior knowledge architects to establish and maintain best practices for eliciting information, audience analysis, technical writing, knowledge retention and transfer, information evaluation, knowledge taxonomy and mapping, and sharing or publishing knowledge.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Business, Technical Writing, English, Education, Instructional Design or related field, plus three years’ related experience, or
Associate’s degree in a technical field, plus seven years’ related experience, or
High school diploma, plus nine years’ related experience.
Willingness to pursue the Certified Knowledge Management Specialist (CKM) certification.
Expert in structured authoring, Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA), Extensible Markup Language(XML), minimalism, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and content software.
