Position Summary
Provides strategic leadership and is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related disciplines and operations.
Directs and manages department partnering with business areas to drive continuous knowledge &learning content management improvement activities enterprise-wide.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manages overall operations of the department. Interviews, hires, trains, and directs personnel. Prepares and conducts performance assessments, coordinates discipline, and oversees Employee development as required.
Designs, develops, modifies, adapts, and implements short- and long-term solutions for continuous knowledge& learning content management improvement across the enterprise.
Defines functional strategy, ensuring alignment to overall division and corporate strategies. Drives change(s)necessary to achieve goals and objectives.
Leads the learning content management effort, provides technical guidance, adheres to learning content management standards and practices, maintains updates to learning content and maintenance workplans.
Manages relationships with business leaders at all levels.
Ensures responsible functions quality and service level standards are aligned with division and corporate standards.
Keeps abreast of emerging trends, disciplines, and technologies. Uncovers and implements strategies to compete and remain competitive in the insurance industry.
Provides input to the annual budget, ensuring that performance objectives are met at the lowest cost. Continually monitors expenses throughout the year and revises expectations as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Business, Technical Writing, English Education, Instructional Design or a related field plus eight years’ related experience required. Advanced degree preferred. Prior supervisory or leadership experience required. In- depth knowledge of related disciplines required.
Associate’s degree plus ten years’ experience in related function or ten years business experience and successful completion of ERIE’s Foundations of Leadership class required.
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database & learning content software required. Completion of relevant designations or training preferred.
