Founded in 1876, the beautiful stone cellar and grounds in Healdsburg have been a Sonoma County fixture for over 140 years. Simi Winery specializes in the production of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir and has a rich history in crafting quality wines year over year.
Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, modification, installation, and preventative maintenance on the facility, vehicles, fixtures, and systems. This position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Responsibilities:
Maintain focus on safety, efficiency goals and quality objectives
Identify and report needed maintenance and facility repairs to Maintenance Manager
Safely follow operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal and co-worker’s safety and company assets
Works in conjunction with Master Mechanics and Maintenance Foreman
Collaborates with Cellar, Lab and Winemaking departments for cross functional teamwork
Under limited supervision performs basic service, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and installation of equipment
Basic welding, machining, fabrication, liquid, and gas plumbing
Able to troubleshoot, build and install high/low voltage control distribution panels, circuits utilizing switches, relays, transformers, and breakers, along with other electrical components
Understanding basic schematics for mechanical, piping and construction projects
Interpret maintenance manuals and procedures
Planning out repair/rebuild jobs by assembling all necessary parts and supplies
Understanding the basics of operating production floor equipment
Mechanical repair of pumps, filters, valves, tanks, and juice/wine processing equipment
Mechanical troubleshoot/repair of refrigeration systems
Mechanical troubleshoot/repair of automated control systems
Responsible for compliance with OSHA and Constellation’s safety and environmental policies.
Responsible for compliance with sustainability policies and practices, which are economically viable, socially acceptable, and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with: cooling systems, boilers, air compressors, vehicles, reading blueprints, plumbing, welding, electric, and operating machinery
Troubleshooting, presses, reading diagrams, using hand tools, writing, basic math, using meters, operating vehicles
Must be able to operate company vehicles
Forklift Certified Recommended but not required
Valid CA Driver’s License
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
Must possess a High School diploma/ GED
2-5 years of experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable

The salary range for this role is:
$27.31 – $43.62
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
