Overnight Monitoring Supervisor – Overnight Shift at Corporate Campus

As an Overnight Monitoring Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the team responsible for monitoring Best Buy’s retail and supply chain locations with the goal of preventing burglaries and reducing losses due damage to Best Buy facilities. This is accomplished through proactive CCTV monitoring and reactive alarm response to Best Buy sites that are secured afterhours. The Overnight Monitoring Supervisor will report directly to the Enterprise Fusion Center – Sr. Manager, and working collaboratively with other supervisory peer groups, Corporate Partners, Field Support Asset Protection leaders, and Property Managers to reduce loss and facility damage, as well as initiate the appropriate response needed to aid all targeted, vulnerable, and at-risk facility locations.

This role is overnight, on-site/on-campus 5 nights a week as part of a team that will be responsible for providing coverage 7 nights each week. Ensuring the appropriate leadership coverage is available based on business needs, occasional weekend and holiday rotations can be expected.

What you’ll do

• Responsible for hiring, training, and overseeing performance of the team and ensuring all HR policies and related timelines are adhered to.
• Partner with direct senior leader to develop and manage team performance metrics and reporting capabilities.
• Manage and audit the team’s performance, operations, task related functions, and established deliverables.
• Manage and coordinate shift coverage, schedule development and deployment in support of service deliveries.
• Manage various projects as assigned to optimize and improve team performance, operational objectives, and key outcomes.
• Ensure the development and maintenance of Burglary monitoring systems and processes with relevant partners.
• Drive clear, consistent, frequent, and on time incident, and team performance communication with senior leader, internal customers, key stakeholders, and partners utilizing various communication tools (i.e., emails, incident reports, end of day performance reports, Teams chats, etc.).
• Support the team’s daily operational duties through proactive CCTV cameras monitoring, passive facility alarm monitoring, incident alerting/notification, and reporting.
• Manage, support, and guide response activities related to incidents and/or events (i.e, break-ins, other criminal activities, employee safety events, etc.) that occurs during hours of operation.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of supervisory experience
• 1+ years of analyzing data and trends
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office 365 application tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) experience
• 1+ years Business Reporting utilizing Excel, PowerPoint and other reporting tools to share team performance metric

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience

• Scheduling and Timesheet Management
• Previous multi-unit alarm or CCTV monitoring
• 2+ years of Public Safety, Retail Operations, Distribution Center, Asset Protection, Call Center, Facilities/Property Management, or related experience
• Incident case management reporting experience
• Fluency in Spanish or other language
• Experience in corporate role supporting field operations
