We are looking for motivated and driven individuals to join our team as Patient Safety Associates at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, Virginia. We offer a competitive hourly rate, shift differential for the overnight shift, and the ability to touch people’s lives!
Location: Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, Woodbridge, Virginia
Pay Rate: $16.17 per hour – Shift Differential available for weekends and overnight shifts.
Shifts: Our PSAs work three (3) twelve-hour shifts per week with four (4) days off. Shifts are divided into AM or PM shifts. 7:00 am to 7:30 pm OR 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.
Training: We offer one week of paid training where a new hire you will receive your Basic Life Support Certificate and Crisis Prevention training as well as learn and apply all the tools needed to be a successful Patient Safety Associate.
* Successful candidates will be able to start immediately and be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and pass pre-employment requirements including a drug screen.
Patient Safety Associate Overview:
Under the direction of the Nurse in Charge, the Patient Safety Associate provides patient safety services, through visual observation, and within proximity to the patient(s) who are at risk to themselves or others. The PSA patient population may include suicidal and/or psychotic behavior or medical conditions that cause confusion and/or inability to comply with healthcare directives. The PSA does not provide and/or perform direct patient care but serves to support the healthcare team in providing direct supervision of the patient(s) to prevent and/or minimize harm to him/her or others.
