We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our Memberships team focused on Customer Acquisition. This role is critical in forming the strategic position of how Shipt will differentiate from competitors in order to acquire targeted quality customers from various channels for membership, activate, and build early lifecycle habituation, all while taking into account our entire ecosystem: our customers, our shoppers, our retail and CPG partners, and our merchandising strategy. In addition to helping to lead this strategic body of work, this candidate must execute on this strategy by building upon both existing underlying capabilities and improving the end-to-end customer experience, taking into account every touch point – customer savings is of the utmost importance throughout the customer journey.
Ideally, this candidate will have in-depth Product Management experience in eCommerce and/or Subscriptions working closely with merchants and have a comprehensive understanding of retail promotional strategies. This candidate should also have proven results in working closely in both customer acquisition, retention, and/or loyalty, plus the role that promotions may play in helping to reduce acquisition costs and strengthen customer loyalty, generally in close partnership with Marketing. This candidate will also have a solid background in improving processes, and in particular, building out systems that leverage the strength and need for the knowledge of our Shipt team members and partners, and take into account where we can automate and leverage machine learning. In addition to building the strategy and capabilities, this candidate should be excited about the opportunity to optimize savings, promotions, and fees overtime, contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty, and incremental benefit for Shipt.

Your Responsibilities
Lead a strategic product initiative that is believed to be critical to the success of Shipt’s marketplace
Develop innovative product solutions that cater to our customers, constituents, and utilize the best of Shipt’s operations, our technology, and data science capabilities
Expand and evangelize best practices for scoping, building, validating, deploying, and monitoring products
Develop Product roadmaps, and educate both internal and external stakeholders at all levels to drive implementation, measurement, and optimization
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations leadership to formulate roadmaps, influence decision making, and drive prioritization
Find opportunities for improvement across the business and assist in decision-making across team
Proving product and strategic initiative efficacy and driving business results
Advocacy of any resources or support that this initiative requires for success
Requirements
12+ years of Product Management/Digital experience
5+ years of experience eCommerce experience
3+ years of experience leading major cross-functional/company initiatives with executive visibility
Deep expertise in customer-facing product management and ability to mentor peers
Must be able to lead, influence, and inspire with and without authority
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with high level stakeholders
Preferred
Strong expertise in subscription and/or customer loyalty
Proven track record of shifting company culture to PLG
Colorado Pay Minimum: $124,300
NYC, WA, and CA Pay Range: $149,200-$298,400
Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
Work Arrangement:
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis.
