ABB Smart Buildings digitally transforms commercial, industrial and residential buildings for the highest comfort, efficiency, safety and security – enhancing quality of life in buildings of the future through safe, smart and sustainable electrification solutions, services and products.Reporting to the Global Product and Marketing Manager, the incumbent’s holds a pivotal role in the organization as he/she is responsible for boosting the profitable growth of the Intelligent Emergency Lighting portfolio for the North American market. This role requires experience with IoT Connected Devices. It involves fully coordinating product-related activities, such as product and market trends, product life cycle, new product development, product training and launches. Your responsibilities
Identify strategic actions, engage collaboratively, and contribute to your cross-functional team to meet the Portfolio’s targets while ensuring they align with the company objectives.
Identify and validate from the market, the product/system’s required specifications and work closely with the EML Product Manager, the IoT Tech Support Specialist and the R&D team throughout the product development process (Gate model), and market introduction phase, meeting key indicators in a timely manner.
Monitor revenues and sales trends and communicate with cross-functional manufacturing team, forecasted fluctuations to ensure they meet customer needs.
Ensure product life cycle actions are well-defined in time, considering your cross-functional team’s critical elements.
Structure pricing guidelines & market positioning to optimize organic growth and expand into new segments.
Prepare and present technical and commercial information to customers, field sales personnel, lighting agents and other employees within the organization.
Collaborate with Marketing, technical support and sales teams, ensuring our customer satisfaction is at the forefront.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality procedures, processes, Codes and standards.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience such as technology background and a good understanding of the electrical/lighting industry.
5 years of experience as Product Specialist, or related experience.
Knowledge and experience of related products and solutions development in an agile organization.
Experience in manufacturing environment is an asset.
French and English bilingualism, spoken and written is an asset.
A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to interpret and communicate to the cross-functional team, the technical and specifications relevant for this portfolio.
High sense of initiative, autonomy, and enjoys, juggling with priorities in line with targeted goals.
