Position Description:
Lead and/or support capital projects in SME areas of HVAC, mechanical utilities, BMS (Building Management System) and clean room design. Lead and/or assist in implementation of expense/continuous improvement projects in keeping with corporate and site strategic planning.
Functions, Duties, Tasks:
Support capital projects in the SME role, in MEP & BMS disciplines
Author and/or review project documents including but not limited to URS, FRS, feasibility studies, project drawings and specifications.
Project budget and schedule analysis and support
Lead and/or support cost reductions projects with an emphasis on utility reduction
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and other related governing project documentation.
Assist in ensuring compliance with governing local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
Review contractor shop drawings and submittals
Oversee project installation and execution with focus on areas of subject matter expertise, ensuring quality installations and right the first-time project delivery.
Execute and/or oversee commissioning and startup of mechanical equipment.
Author and /or review qualification documentation associated with equipment within subject matter expertise.
Facilitate BMS activities at the Fort Dodge site.
Ensure the BMS is in a cGxP state, ensuring compliance with governing regulatory regulations.
Ensure the BMS is maintained in a state compliant with the governing Elanco EGQS and EISS standards and guidelines.
Provide on and off hours support of the BMS, as well as the equipment the system monitors and controls
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
2 years’ experience in HVAC / Mechanical field.
Programming experience in a related field/system
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Additional Preferences:
Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical
Proficiency in Informational Security industrial guidelines and recommendations (NIST Cybersecurity)
Proficiency in Siemens BMS programming.

Problem solving skills and analytical troubleshooting capability.
Work with integrity and ethics within a cGMP environment

Travel: 10% or less
Work shift: Full time (Occasional weekend, holiday or off-hour work may be required).
