ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
We are seeking an experienced and impassioned Sr. Product Manager to help us transform the way couples discover, connect, and collaborate with wedding pros. The Knot Worldwide’s wedding vendor marketplace is our largest business, and we have plans for significant growth in the US and internationally.
We’re looking for that special someone to bring your entrepreneurial spirit, creative problem solving, and user-centric design thinking to our team. You’ll work closely with exceptional design and tech leads and report to the VP of Product Management. Your Marketing and other cross-functional partners are knowledgeable and collaborative, having built up key relationships in the industry over many years.
This role is a great mix of forward-thinking strategy and highly creative, design-centered feature development, with a strategic product focus on The Knot’s wedding vendor marketplace.
You should be excited about and have experience both building green-field products and iterating on more mature products. You love helping users solve big problems and making life’s biggest moments joyful instead of stressful.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
By way of thorough research and understanding, define and oversee the strategic direction of our Marketplace products in close collaboration with engineering, design and other key business partners.
Passionately drive outcome-focused execution knowing with confidence that what matters most is how the product impacts our customers and our business.
Productively collaborate with leaders across the organization, from marketing and sales to finance and operations, to ensure cohesion between your products and the overall product experience.
SUCCESSFUL PRODUCT MANAGER CANDIDATES HAVE:
A minimum of five years in product development, specifically within an agile environment.
Demonstrated experience with setting strategic direction and helping to ideate and launch new products and experiences.
A desire to use quantitative and qualitative data in making product decisions, while having experience with user science tools + methods.
Proficiency in utilizing a variety of analytical tools and a proven track record of creating quality consumer experiences that accommodate user needs and business requirements.
The ability and mindfulness to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively with team members across all levels of the organization.
An exceptional visual intelligence with a “good eye” toward keen aesthetics, strong empathy, and a user-centered mentality.
