Join NuVasive’s Surgical Intelligence team and develop the future of spine surgery through navigation and robotics innovation! New software development opportunity in building a Software Automation Test framework and infrastructure from the ground up. Exciting opportunity to be part of a small core team of software developers who will drive software Automation foundations in a very exciting and expanding surgical intelligence space.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop Automation Test framework as a member of an agile development team
Participate in Test tools design and test plan development, including strategies for full test cycle execution (acceptance, integration, performance, end2end Software and System Test and Integration and regression Testing).
Automation framework Technical problem solving and debugging
Be an integrated part of an Agile engineering team, working interactively with software engineers from the beginning to the end of the development cycle
Designing and developing an Automation Frame Work and infrastructure which supports Test Engineers who are creating and maintaining automated tests based on product requirements and specifications
Working with the development team to analyze project requirements with the goal of increasing automated test coverage
Maintains design verification and validation documentation in accordance with established departmental and corporate procedures
Ensures compliance with FDA device regulatory requirements, including DHF and 510(k)
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Capabilities
Coding in Object oriented Languages such as C# or Java ,
Experience building automation Test Frame Work desired
Windows administration
Experience using Visual Studio, PowerShell,-and associated tools
Experience with modern version control systems such as Git,,
Experience with Automation tools such as Selenium, Coded UI, etc.
Proficient with scripting tools like Python and JavaScript
Ability and willingness to build an automated test framework
Medical Device testing is a plus
Experience with a SCRUM/Agile environment
Experience with web application/web services testing
Experience with Azure
Excellent communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Knowledge of FDA/cGMPs and global regulations for Medical Devices
Ability to work within published FDA device regulatory guidelines and follow internal Standard Operating Procedures, including documentation of testing procedures
Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13551
Education and Experience
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 to 3 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred
2+ years of experience with programming and validating software preferred
Experience with image processing algorithms (registration, enhancement, and segmentation) is a plus
Travel and/or Physical Requirements
10% travel
Remote / on-site work (50/50)
