We are seeking Certified Sterile Processing Techs for our new state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center!
Schedule: Monday – Friday 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of all basic and specialized complex instrumentation, and troubleshoots equipment or product failure.
Prepare and assemble trays and packs according to provider preference, and equipment requirements based on scheduled procedures and established standards to ensure sterile and functioning supply of materials and equipment.
Identifies and addresses issues that might affect daily and future efficiency patient flow and/or patient safety.
Instrument maintenance – recognizes failing or damaged instrumentation, keeps instruments in prime operating condition.
Equipment maintenance – assists with equipment maintenance within SPD including manufacturer recommendations and compliance with scheduled PMs.
Maintains current knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards for SPD including but not limited to CMS, AAAHC, IAHCSMM. Applies best practices accordingly.
Works with Lead in maintaining adequate supply, repair, and purchase of new instruments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Min of one year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care hospital or ambulatory surgery center, operating sterilizing equipment and cleaning surgical instruments and equipment.
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician from one of the following required : The International Association of Health Care Services Material Management (IAHCSMM) OR the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
Pay Range: $23.51 – $32.91
