ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage PeopleNet application and oversee drivers’ use of PeopleNet system for eLogs and Trip Management. Analyze driver performance, provide feedback and/or coaching to drivers as needed as to how to improve performance, and provide clean data for performance reporting.
Develop and distribute analytics and reports measuring key metrics on delivery performance and achievement of company objectives to drive results and support management through the performance development and review processes.
Handle incoming calls and ensure timely responses to stores, drivers, carriers, etc., communicating any issues to drivers and management as needed.
Effectively communicate all pertinent issues amongst the dispatch operations team to ensure all issues are handled.
Maintain and update the PeopleNet system as needed.
Properly utilize the Kronos and PeopleNet systems to track and report sign-in/sign-out times, assure routes are timely, and communicate service issues to management and customer service.
Develop and track continuous improvement targets for the transportation department. Document and maintain transportation department processes and information flow, touch points with other areas of the organization, and data sources for reporting.
Oversee configuration of Transportation Management System (TMS) applications for daily planning and routing work by inbound and outbound teams; provide reporting and analysis support for department applications for operations and leadership.
Responsible for influencing positive associate morale and quality customer service; address issues with drivers as they arise and report issues to management and HR as needed.
Independently identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs and recommend creative solutions.
Maintain positive relations with drivers, stores, internal corporate stakeholders, and third party partners.
Ensure compliance with company policy and state and federal regulations and maintain appropriate and accurate documentation of the same, including, but not limited to, driver compliance for random drug screening, certification of violations/MVR, and annual medical reviews.
Work with management and drivers to implement and administer company safety and accident reporting policies and procedures to measure and reduce the occurrence and cost of collisions, injuries, near-misses, and equipment damage.
Lead onboarding and successful implementation of onboard computer (OBC) system including, but not limited to, driver training, maintaining and updating the OBC system as needed.
Assist in freight planning.
Ability to perform all duties with self-direction, independent judgment and minimal supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience in dispatch and transportation operations is required.
High School required, College degree is preferred.
Experience with OBC required, PeopleNet is preferred.
Strong Computer, MS Office, and telephone skills.
Proficiency in English is required; bilingual is preferred.
Proficient in Google platform (i.e., Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works primarily in a distribution center environment in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazard potential.
Works in an office environment remaining stationary at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. Frequently uses near vision for reading and computer tasks.
