Position Summary:
Based at business unit Headquarters in Sturgis, Michigan and reporting directly to the President, this Vice President, Sales and Marketing will be primarily responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership for the company’s revenue growth. This role requires extensive interaction with both internal and external customers, prospective customers, and strategic partners. Approximately 30% of the position will require local and national travel.

This executive will be a part of the executive leadership team and should be a resilient individual who is self-directed, internally motivated, and operates with high degree of personal integrity.
Role Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Morgan Olson’s truck and parts sales and marketing functions with revenues of $500M-$600M USD.
• Proven track record and demonstrated aptitude with budgeting and forecasts.
• Build or adopt methodologies, practices, tools, and incentive programs that advance sales efficiency and forecast accuracy.
• Use analytics to synthesize sales and marketing data and provide leadership with timely, new business forecasts and trend projections.
• Develop sales plans to ensure the business meets financial goals and objectives.
• Monitor, disposition, and drive for maximum integrated account profitability.
• Achieve success as an advisory seller in a highly competitive market with extensive experience in developing executive-level relationships.
• Create and manage key performance indicators to show the health of our business from a sales and marketing point of view.
• Work in partnership with functional stakeholders to establish business requirements, prioritize projects, and deploy initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
• Work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that support the growth of the business.
• Monitor and analyze industry trends and developments to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
• Focus on “Conquest” and “Go-get” accounts.
• Manage chassis manufacture relationships.
• Manage chassis forecasts and flow.
• Trade show and industry speaker – successful track record of being a charismatic leader with excellent written, verbal and presentation and communication skills.
Experience & Expertise Required:
• 10+ years in a sales leadership role within a multi site, industrial manufacturing industry (automotive manufacturing a plus).
• 15+ years progressive functional and strategic experience across sales leadership, marketing, business development, and business unit P&L responsibilities.
• Deep experience managing sales forecasting, reporting, and budgeting processes.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving customer satisfaction.
• Experience building and leading a team and developing appropriate KPIs that target and accelerate revenue as the organization scales.
• Experience in relationship selling required.
• Experience in second stage manufacturing and selling a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Management is required.
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or other business function is preferred.
