The The Stock Clerk maintains the overall receiving, stocking and distribution duties of the General Stores areas.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
Knowledgeable in department operations.
Is familiar with computer software used to perform department operations and efficiently and effectively perform tasks associated with the required knowledge.
Received all incoming supply and equipment items per accepted Accounting and Materials Management procedures.
Stocks supplies within the General Stores area in pre-determined locations ensuring organization, control and safety.
Fills authorized requisitions for departments as well as delivers direct shipments to user departments.
Consistently handles telephone information requests with courtesy, accuracy and respect for confidentially.
Operates Department equipment safely, i.e. photocopier, dolly, palletjack.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience: One (1) year previous experience working in a warehouse required. Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment for all hospital specialties required. Ability to manage difficult personalities required. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to calmly and professionally manage multiple calls required. Knowledge in Inventory Control functions preferred.
